As most of you know, Babyface Clan have a tradition of doing an end-of-year show, usually on DECEMBER 30th. We’ve been executing this little manoeuvre for about 7-8 years in a row and it has worked rather well. 90% of those concerts have been in packed venues and with that special one-off vibe and atmosphere you can get only when both artist and audience gather all the ammo they have left after 12 months and fire one huge simultaneous parting “fuck off” salvo at the passing year!
For a while now we have been organizing these events ourselves, without any outside promoters. This means not only me doing media promo, but the band as a whole and people like Polina Hristova doing our posters and Rosie Eisor from Bloodbecomeswater doing the merch etc/ And we make sure everyone gets paid properly.
We also invite one or two other bands on the bill and those are different acts every time. Most importantly we only invite artists that WE LIKE and consider ORIGINAL, CULTURALLY IMPORTANT and RELEVANT.
Thus, we are delighted to have as our very special guests for this RELAPSE, the wildly unpredictable and wonderfully psychotic ensemble VOYVODA (https://www.facebook.com/xvoyvodax/ ), who we have tried to get on this show for a number of years, but they usually inform us that they have split up or don’t answer the phone at all.
Well, this time they ARE playing and this is an ultra RARE chance to see them – their ONLY show for 2016!
We usually do these shows at MIXTAPE5 which is a venue we love, but this year we chose TERMINAL1 for a change, where our friend Martin Mihaylov is always an impeccable host.
