Greek crowd favorites James are coming to celebrate their 40th anniversary as a band at a magical night in Thessaloniki at the Lazarist Monastery on Wednesday 12th July as part of their European tour.
The James are coming to Thessaloniki with a setlist that will include all the important moments from their career so far.
Having released more than 16 albums, from “Stutter” (1986) to the most recent “All the colors of you” (2021) and having sold over 25 million records worldwide, they are undoubtedly one of the most enduring successes stories of Britain’s indie music scene. Proof is the fact that tickets for the UK leg of the ‘James Lasted’ tour sold out within 6 hours.
From their beginnings in the early 80s in Manchester, the James have distinguished themselves, relying not only on the vocals of Tim Booth but mainly on the formation of a distinctive musical identity. They quickly gained a massive fan following, critical acclaim and famous friends such as Morrissey, Johnny Marr and the famous Brian Eno who was later to produce their best known releases. Sit Down, Laid, She’s a Star, Sometimes, Senorita, Getting away with it (All Messed Up) are just some of the hits they carry in their luggage.
Few bands have been loved in our country as much as James. From their first concert in 2001 in Athens until today, they have given us unforgettable performances. They will confirm this unbreakable love relationship with Greece again on the evening of July 12 in Thessaloniki with a unique concert as part of the Lazarist Monastery Festival 2023.

Οι αγαπημένοι του ελληνικού κοινού James έρχονται για να γιορτάσουν την 40η επέτειό τους ως συγκρότημα σε μια μαγική βραδιά στη Θεσσαλονίκη, στη Μονή Λαζαριστών, την Τετάρτη 12 Ιουλίου, στο πλαίσιο της Ευρωπαϊκής τους περιοδείας.
Οι James έρχονται στη Thessaloniki με ένα setlist που θα περιλαμβάνει όλες τις σημαντικές στιγμές από την ως τώρα πορεία τους.
Έχοντας κυκλοφορήσει περισσότερα από 16 άλμπουμ, από το “Stutter” (1986) μέχρι το πιο πρόσφατο “All the colors of you” (2021) και έχοντας πουλήσει πάνω από 25 εκατομμύρια δίσκους σε όλο τον κόσμο, αποτελούν αναμφισβήτητα ένα από τα πιο διαχρονικά success stories της indie μουσικής σκηνής της Βρετανίας. Απόδειξη αποτελεί το γεγονός ότι τα εισιτήρια για το βρετανικό σκέλος της περιοδείας «James Lasted» εξαντλήθηκαν σε χρονικό διάστημα 6 ωρών.
Από το ξεκίνημά τους στις αρχές της δεκαετίας του ’80 στο Manchester, οι James ξεχώρισαν, βασιζόμενοι όχι μόνο στα φωνητικά του Tim Booth αλλά κυρίως στην διαμόρφωση μιας χαρακτηριστικής μουσικής ταυτότητας. Ελάχιστες μπάντες έχουν αγαπηθεί στη χώρα μας όσο οι James. Από την πρώτη τους συναυλία το 2001 στην Αθήνα μέχρι σήμερα, μας έχουν χαρίσει αξέχαστες εμφανίσεις. Αυτή την ακατάλυτη σχέση αγάπης με την Ελλάδα, θα επιβεβαιώσουν ξανά το βράδυ της 12ης Ιουλίου στη Θεσσαλονίκη με μια μοναδική συναυλία στο πλαίσιο του Φεστιβάλ Μονής Λαζαριστών 2023.
