Mad Cool Festival announces Its line-up for this next edition, which will take place from July 6 to 8, 2023 as always, in MADRID.
Among the first confirmed are: The Black Keys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lizzo, Queens of the Stone Age, Sam Smith, Liam Gallagher, The Prodigy, The 1975, Nova Twins, Robbie Williams, Lil Nas X, Franz Ferdinand, Tash Sultana, Paolo Nutini, Jamie XX, Machine Gun Kelly, Pixey, Sigur Rós, Angel Olsen, Yellow Days, Years & Years, The Rose, Insincere, Men I Trust, City and Colour, Ethan Bortnick, Puscifer, Years & Years, The Amazons, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, Jacob Collier, Delaporte, Touché Amoré, The Blessed Madonna, Honey Dijon, Genesis Owusu, Rina Sawayama, The Driver Era, Cupido, Gayle, Selah Sue, Two Ex, Rüfus du Sol, Bombay Bicycle Club, Sylvan Esso, The Hu, Shinova, Belako, Thumper, Anfisa Letyago, Mendi, Helena Gallardo, Hanna Grae and HotWax. The announced line-up consists of 53 bands. More names will be unveiled soon.
The Californians Red Hot Chili Peppers are one of the first confirmed headliners, unclassifiable and unique, they continue to cross musical barriers. We will be able to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary at this sixth edition of Mad Cool Festival.
Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, and their project The Black Keys, will be another of the leading bands of this edition, sharp riffs and hymns that blend rock and blues perfectly, a once in a life time worth watching band.
Another of the surprises of the line-up comes from Robbie Williams, making one of the stops of his “XXV” tour at Mad Cool Festival. The American Lizzo confirms what will be his first performance in Madrid, promising big doses of catchy rhythms and hits like “Juice” or “About Danm Time”. Also joining the new line-up are such relevant names in the current scene as Sam Smith, Machine Gun Kelly (in his first concert in Madrid), or Lil Nas X.
The nationals Delaporte will revolutionize the stage with their personal mix of electronic sounds and lots of dancing, while The Blessed Madonna and Honey Dijon will be in charge of making us enjoy and dance in the night sessions with their track mixing.
Rina Sawayama, or what is the same, the antithesis of traditional pop joins the line-up in which we will also find the iconic The 1975, will present their new album ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’ being another of the first confirmations for Mad Cool 2023. Nova Twins will bring us a rock made in UK of the most revolutionary, pure fire on stage and large doses of rebellion. Another of the great confirmations is Queens of the Stone Age, the American band will land on one of our stages with their stoner rock sound as lead band. Also joining this first announcement are the Irish post-rock band Sigur Rós. Liam Gallagher and The Prodigy will bring us the best hits made in UK.
Mad Cool 2023 will offer 3 full days of live music where you can enjoy the performances of national and international bands, offering first class live performances to hundreds of attendees and starring one of the essential stops within the national and international tour of music festivals.
One more year, Mad Cool becomes a musical and cultural reference for both Madrid and Spain, attracting national and international audiences, being one of the most recognized festivals of the moment thanks to its commitment and mix between different proposals.

Mad Cool Festival announces the final names for this year’s edition which will take place from 6-8th July in MADRID.
The final announcement includes three new headliners The Offspring, Janelle Monáe, Mumford & Sons alongside 46 other new artists.
The Offspring, Janelle Monáe, Mumford & Sons, Primal Scream, Ava Max, Morgan, Kevin Morby, Kurt Vile & The Violators, King Princess, Kaleo, Spoon, Dora, Walls, Night Club, Zetak, Sila Lua, PETTI, Ralphie Choo, Purple Disco Machine, Christian Löffler, Polo & Pan DJ Set, DJ Gigola, Boy Bleach, Stacey Ryan, STONE, Picture This, Mimi Webb, Choclock, Girli, Emotional Oranges, Cold Years, Ghouljaboy, Denis Sulta, Gerd Janson, AR/CO, ELYELLA, Raye, Peje DJ, Himalayas and Maika Makovski.
Saturday’s new headliner will be Janelle Monáe, whose music is a dynamic mix of soul, funk, rhythm and blues, hip-hop and new wave… her energetic conceptual approach treats art and entertainment as interchangeable.
Legends and pioneers in the Southern California punk scene The Offspring have sold more than 50 million records and promise a live show that will defy all expectations.
Friday is given a special spark thanks to the addition of Mumford & Sons. The legendary British band are coming to Mad Cool Festival with their singalong hymns, catchy melodies and unmistakable riffs.
Primal Scream, the band led by Bobby Gillespie, also join the lineup with their essential nineties and noughties hits like “Movin’ on Up”, “Loaded” or “Country Girl” promise to get the crowd going.
GenZ and International popstar Ava Max has carved out a niche for herself within the pop scene with over 11 billion plays worldwide and a variety of interesting collaborations.
Morgan are a group that perfectly combines folk-rock with funk, gospel and classic soul. Exquisite songs painted with a unique voice, performed live by a band who transmit class, taste and beauty. Festival goers can also enjoy other relevant names on the Spanish scene such as Dora, Walls, Sila Lua, Ghouljaboy, PETTI or Ralphie Choo among others.
