Martin Harley (UK)

Martin Harley’s ‘British Americana’ sound is influenced by Delta Blues and Gyspy Swing. Renowned for his prowess as a slide guitarist, Martin is almost unique in the UK in his playing lap slide. During constant worldwide touring he’s honed his craft into the classic songwriting style he possesses today, the result is a road worn style of song writing that Guitarist Magazine describes as “staggeringly good, no one is making music like it”. Martin's latest album "LIVE AT SOUTHERN GROUND" ~ recorded at the famous Southern Ground Studios in Nashville Tennessee ~ was described by The Observer as "A spellbinding 50 minutes" (further quotes below).

2015 saw tours in UK, Germany, Poland, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland and of course in the US where he was also invited to THE AMERICANA-FEST in Nashville. Martin also won a major grant award from BPI/UKTI to assist with foreign touring.

In 2016 Martin has been invited to showcase at FOLK ALLIANCE in Kansas City. He will tour many of the same countries mentioned above and we already have major festivals in Canada confirmed incl. Winnipeg, Vancouver, Calgary, Canmore and Salmon Arm.
