Τους αγαπάμε ιδιαίτερα, τους ξαναείδαμε πρόσφατά, έβγαλαν ΔΙΣΚΑΡΑ και τους ξαναφέρνουμε, γιατί το «The Last Will & Testament» πρέπει να το ακούσουμε live. Να νιώσουμε κάθε νότα να διαπερνά τις φλέβες μας, κάθε κραυγή του Åkerfeldt να μας σκίζει τα σωθικά. Έπρεπε… και έγινε πράξη!
Με πάνω από τρεις δεκαετίες στην καριέρα τους, οι Opeth έχουν εκπαιδεύσει τους θαυμαστές τους να περιμένουν το απρόσμενο. Αλλά, ακόμα και για τα δικά τους δεδομένα, οι Σουηδοί τιτάνες του progressive έχουν δημιουργήσει κάτι εκπληκτικό αυτή τη φορά. Η 14η δισκογραφική εξερεύνηση του συγκροτήματος, το The Last Will & Testament, είναι ο πιο σκοτεινός και βαρύς δίσκος που έχουν γράψει εδώ και δεκαετίες, αλλά και ο πιο τολμηρά progressive.
Ένα concept άλμπουμ που αφηγείται την ανάγνωση της διαθήκης ενός πρόσφατα αποθανόντος άνδρα, στα εναπομείναντα μέλη της οικογένειάς του, ξεχειλίζει από στοιχειωτικό μελόδραμα, συγκλονιστικές αποκαλύψεις, και ίσως την πιο άγρια και απρόβλεπτη μουσική που έχει γράψει ποτέ ο συνθέτης και frontman, Mikael Åkerfeldt.
