It has been thirty years since Mandylion saw the light of day. The reason for The Gathering to perform this extremely successful album live again in the original line-up including Anneke van Giersbergen! Where else than in Doornroosje and not one, but with two exclusive shows.

Mandylion is the third album by The Gathering and is seen as a milestone within symphonic and progressive metal. With the addition of singer Anneke van Giersbergen, the band got their own characteristic, atmospheric sound. The sound in which heavy riffs, melodic keys and powerful enchanting vocals come together to form a unique whole. The album, released in 1995, contains classics such as ‘Strange Machines’ and ‘Leaves’, and marks a new era for the band. It is a masterpiece that has had a great influence within the genre. Original members Frank Boeijen, Hugo Prinsen Geerlings, Anneke van Giersbergen, Jelmer Wiersma, Hans & René Rutten have joined forces to bring this iconic work back to life in a special live setting. Expect all the songs from Mandylion supplemented with more from Anneke's period.
