Yngwie Malmsteen - 12 August 2025 - Luka Beograd (RS)
Legendary guitar hero Yngwie Malmsteen will hold a concert at Luka Beograd on August 12, organised by the production company Long Play.
The virtuoso Swede is coming to the Serbian capital as part of his celebratory "The 40th Anniversary Tour", marking four decades of his global career.
By combining the influences of composers such as Bach, Paganini and Vivaldi, Malmsteen contributed to the birth of a genre called neoclassical melodic rock. He "exploded" on the world stage as a twenty-year-old thanks to his incredibly lightning-fast guitar playing technique, starting with the album "Rising Force" (1984). One of the highlights of his career was a completely classical approach to solo electric guitar and orchestra on the album "Concerto Suite" (2002). He is coming to Serbia four years after his dazzling performance at the Arsenal Fest in Kragujevac, and now he will show his skills for the first time in Belgrade in front of, undoubtedly, fans of all generations.
Speaking about his glittering 40-year career, Malmsteen says: "Everything I've ever done, whether it's concerts, recordings or anything else, was the maximum I could give at that moment. Every day is a new opportunity to do something new. Therefore, I don't look back much on the past, but rather look to the future. Every time I pick up the guitar, I start improvising and I have the impression that I'm creating something new."
