Номинациите за 60-ите награди “Grammy” бяха оповестени днес. За тях се състезават изпълнения, излезли от октомври 2016 до септември 2017.
Сред артистите, които интересуват рок и метъл аудиторията срещаме имената на Chris Cornell, Body Count, Nothing More, Foo Fighters, Meshuggah, Metallica и Mastodon.
Foo Fighters са номинирани за “Най-добро рок изпълнение” и “Най-добра рок песен”, а продуцентът им Greg Kurstin – в категория “Продуцент на годината”. Metallica, са поставени в категория “Най-добра рок песен”, а албумът “Hardwired … to Self-Destruct” е номиниран за “Най-добър рок албум”. Две номинации имат и Mastodon: “Sultan’s Curse” за “Най-добро метъл изпълнение” и “Emperor of Sand” за “Най-добър рок албум”. Песента на Chris Cornell “The Promise” намираме в категория “Най-добро рок изпълнение”, а Quens Of The Stone Age ще се борят за “Най-добър рок албум”.
Прави впечатление отстъплението на рок изпълнителите от няколко важни категории – “Запис на годината”, “Изпълнител на годината” и т.н. Но едва ли на някой от нашата музика щеше да му е приятно да е в една категория с “Despacito” или нещо подобно.
