CELINE DION CONCERT IN BUCHAREST IS RESCHEDULED, TICKETS REMAIN VALID
Bucharest, 10 June 2020 – The CELINE DION concert, which was scheduled to take place on the 29th of July at National Arena Bucharest, will be postponed in the context of COVID-19. The event is going to be rescheduled on July 25th, next year. Tickets already purchased remain valid for the new date.
Celine Dion announced today her COURAGE WORLD TOUR is scheduled to be back on the road in 2021. Originally scheduled 2020 show dates that were postponed across Europe due to COVID-19 have been rescheduled to begin in spring 2021. The Bucharest show will be rescheduled for July 25, 2021.
“I had really hoped that we’d be back on stage sometime this year, but nothing is more important than everyone’s health and safety. The whole world has been going through such difficult times during this pandemic, and my heart goes out to all those who have suffered. I know we’ll eventually get through this together, and we’ll make up for all that lost time. I miss doing our shows… I can’t wait to sing with all of you again. Stay safe everyone… see you soon!”, said Celine.
Both the artist’s management and the concert promoter take the safety and health of the public as a top priority. COURAGE WORLD TOUR will now kick-off the European leg of the tour in spring 2021 and will play 32 cities across Europe through summer 2021, including Bucharest.
“We are sorry that Celine Dion will not be performing in Bucharest at the initial date of the show. This COVID-19 pandemic is having a devastating impact not only on the health of the population and the medical system, but also socially and economically, with the music industry also having been gravely affected. We find ourselves in a unique context in recent history; we are all going though very difficult times and we are sure that Celine Dion’s fans in Romania fully understand the situation” – Laura Coroianu, director of Emagic Live, promoter of the Bucharest show.
The CELINE DION show in Bucharest is part of “Courage World Tour”, which promotes the artist’s album with the same name and was supposed to include nearly one hundred cities worldwide. The artist had already performed 52 sold-out shows by March this year. Recent development of coronavirus and prevention measures taken by the authorities during the past few weeks, have determined the artist to postpone the first European leg of the tour for next year.
Tickets already purchased for 29th July 2020 remain valid for 25th July 2021.
Famous Canadian singer Celine Dion will perform for the first time in Romania on July 29, 2020, and the tickets will go on sale this week. The show will take place at the National Arena in Bucharest.
Tickets will go on sale on Thursday, October 17, 10 AM (Romania time), local Stirileprotv.ro reported. They will cost between RON 225 and RON 850 (taxes and fees included), depending on the distance from the stage. Fans can purchase them online at celine.emagic.ro, iabilet.ro and eventim.ro.
The concert in Bucharest is part of Celine Dion’s Courage World Tour promoting her first English-language album in the last 6 years, which will reach nearly 100 cities worldwide. The new album is scheduled for release on November 15, 2019.
Since her 1981 album debut, Celine Dion has released albums mainly in French and English. A five-time Grammy Award winner, her previous world tour – Taking Chances – took place in 2007 and was one of the most profitable of the year.
