After the rescheduling the 2020 edition of the festival due to the worldwide health emergency, Barcelona Rock Fest has kept steadily working on keeping all of the artists originally scheduled for 2020 for next year’s edition. Within that process of rescheduling we can now announce that on July 1st, 2nd and 3rd 2021 we will have Finnish kings of symphonic metal Nightwish and the biggest viking metal band in the world Amon Amarth. They will be joining a bill full of events such as KISS last show in a Spanish festival, the return of the mighty Manowar to Spain and the 50th anniversary tour by Judas Priest among others.
Nightwish surprised the world recently when they released a new studio effort called “Human :II: Nature”, where they keep showing that their songwriting abilities are at an all time peak and that Floor Jansen s one of the most versatile singers in the genre. With a story that borders on a quarter of a century already, Nightwish are the most successful band of a genre that drinks from the most powerful metal as well as the most detailed symphonic orchestrations and soundtracks. A trip between the sheer power of metal and the best cinematic sound.
Amon Amarth are confirming their presence again in Barcelona Rock Fest in what will be a continuation of their “Berserker” world tour, motivated by their most recent studio record. With a stage show that has made them rise among their peers and lead the elite of today’s metal, the band keeps reinventing itself with each and every record but without losing their identity. They will surely make Rock Fest Barcelona stage explode without mercy.
Nightwish and Amon Amarth are joining a bill that already has 39 bands confirmed and that is not finished.
Manowar will return as headliners of Rock Fest Barcelona on July 1st, 2021. This will be the band’s only show in Spain next year.
Manowar will celebrate their 40th anniversary with the Spanish fans by bringing their biggest production ever, including epic set decoration, stunning visuals, Viking reenactors and a powerful set list full of immortal classics!
“We can’t wait to return to Spain!” said Joey DeMaio. “Our Spanish fans have always fought for Manowar and true metal. They have never failed us, and we will never fail the greatest fans in Spain” he continued. “Our motto is Louder Harder Bigger – that says it all!”
A limited number of Ultimate Fan Experience Upgrades, for the most personal fan experience ever, will be available for this event! These upgrades work in conjunction with any ticket for the respective event. Fans should secure their admission tickets now and can purchase an Ultimate Fan Experience once these upgrades go on sale.
