Weather Systems (UK) – alternative rock, prog rock, post-rock
Weather Systems, the new musical project of Daniel Cavanagh (ex-Anathema) together with Daniel Cardoso, comes straight from the UK to bring a truly memorable show to the festival stage. With a sound that combines pure emotion with progressive and atmospheric arrangements, the band has already conquered the audience with sensitivity and strength in equal measure.
The year 2024 marks the release of the album Ocean Without a Shore, enthusiastically received by the specialized press and fans, confirming that Weather Systems represents a new strong voice in the European alternative music landscape. The festival show promises an intense musical journey: from new Weather Systems compositions, to vibrant reinterpretations of classic Anathema songs.
Planet of Zeus (GR) – southern/stoner metal
Greek heavy rock pioneers Planet of Zeus return to SoundArt Festival to deliver an incendiary show, in an appearance marking the release of their new album, Afterlife, available from October 11, 2024. With over two decades of experience on international stages and a track record that includes five studio albums and one live set, the band returns stronger than ever, ready to conquer the festival audience with pure energy and intensity.
With Afterlife, Planet of Zeus distance themselves from their blues-rock roots and plunge into a brave sonic universe, where the band’s unmistakable groove merges with a contemporary, mature and explosive sound. At the center of this new chapter is Babis’ powerful voice, which effortlessly combines raw intensity with deeply emotional passages, leading the band into previously unexplored expressive territories.
(Dolch) (GER) – drone/doom/black metal/ambient
From the Berlin scene, the mysterious band (Dolch) will bring a dark and hypnotic atmosphere, crossing genre boundaries. With two impressive studio albums under their belt, Feuer (2019) and Nacht (2022), which are part of an epic three-part cycle (“Feuer, Nacht & Tod”), (Dolch) have made a name for themselves for their unique sound that combines elements of dark ambient, doom metal and drone, with lyrics that oscillate between urban melancholy and ritualistic dream.
Participating in SoundArt Festival will be one of the rare opportunities to see them live, in an intimate context, on the stage of the Quantic club.
Calyces (GR) – progressive metal
Calyces are proving to be one of the hardest working bands on the Greek scene. In 2025 they released the album Fleshy Waves of Probability, went on a European tour to promote the material and have multiple concerts in Romania, which is why we are happy to bring them back to the Quantic stage during SoundArt Festival.
The band is built around Manthos Stergiou, the guitarist and main composer of the prog metal band Tardive Dyskinesia, who left a deep mark on the local scene and caused a sensation in the underground circuit. Manthos signs the excellent graphics of the festival again in 2026.
Annapurna (RO) – stoner rock/psychedelic rock
Annapurna is a new band from Timisoara. Formed by four musicians united by their passion for earth-shaking frequencies and strong vibrations, the band aims to build an intense and hypnotic sound universe through their music.
With heavy riffs, tight rhythms and psychedelic accents, Annapurna invites the audience on a captivating musical journey at SoundArt Festival!
A Broken Design (MT) – stoner rock/grunge
Hailing from Malta’s underground scene, A Broken Design brings an intense sound to the festival, straddling the line between stoner and grunge. Formed in 2014, the band quickly established themselves with the EP Halo of Flies and their debut album Another Day In Hell (2020), material that solidified their reputation and was recently reissued on vinyl by Italian label Argonauta Records.
With heavy riffs, raw energy and a tight groove, A Broken Design promises a show that will shake the stage in Quantic and remain in the audience’s memory.
Euthymia (IT/GER) – progressive rock/doom/post-rock/ambient
Founded in 2022, Euthymia represents the harmonious convergence of six kindred spirits: Vito Tambasco (vocals), Edoardo Di Vietri (lead guitar), Lhello Marra (bass), Michael Veneri (lead guitar), Matteo De Marco (synth and guitar) and Massimo Sammastrino (drums).
Their music is born from a constant dialogue between the inner and the outer, between the human and the cosmic, exploring esoteric themes inspired by Jungian psychology, psychoanalysis and metaphysical contemplation. The result is a powerful sound, at the intersection of doom and progressive rock, that resonates with the visionary imprint of bands such as Tool, Alcest or Sunn O))).
“ Pax in natura “ is the motto of the festival, a call for harmony and balance in a world marked by tensions and chaos. The expression suggests both man’s return to nature as a sanctuary of tranquility, and the rediscovery of inner peace, in one’s own human nature.
More than an ecological motto, “pax in natura” becomes a modern blessing, a universal code of reconciliation and contemplation, inspiring the audience to rediscover simplicity and authentic connection with the world around them. About SoundArt Festival
Now in its 7th edition, SoundArt is a courageous projection in a social environment where events focused on a specific musical niche require massive work to be built and communicated to the public.
SOUNDART FESTIVAL is not a festival of bands that play according to a certain successful musical recipe. It surprises you with personal elements, reinvents itself over time, is in constant search and does not only refer to music, but also to other types of art.
The objective is extremely clear: to promote local arts and artists, in a very special musical setting. The main ambassador of the brand is SoundArt Festival, a name that takes the audience on quality musical journeys, bringing bands chosen with soul to its stage.
