Brutal Assault 2024: introduces 23 new bands, reaching 70% of the total line-up.

Death metal classics Carcass return to the fortress after five years. Along with them, you can look forward to a hefty dose of toxic brutal death metal from Cytotoxin. From Belgium come the death/goregrind hurricanes Aborted, and from Sweden, DarkTranquillity with their signature Gothenburg-style melodic death metal. The imaginary death metal circle is completed by the apocalyptic horsemen Vltimas.

Americans Escuela Grind will unleash their grindcore mayhem, followed by fellow Americans Misery Index and Rotten Sound with their death-grind blends. The destruction culminates with Pig Destroyer, who rightfully rank among the most respected grindcore bands.

The black metal scene will be represented by Americans Akhlys, the underground-acclaimed Yellow Eyes, and the folky-psychedelic Hexvessel.

From the gothic scene, Brutal Assault welcomes the popular industrial icons Deathstars and the post-punk-influenced Unto Others. From the dark swamps come the Finnish melodicists Kalmah, and from overseas, the heavy rock metallers Soil. Cynic, the American tech-metallers, bring a special focus set to celebrate the re-release of their cult debut album. The 8-bit computer band Master Boot Record and the brutally honest post-hardcore band Svalbard will present their original take on music.

Get ready to jump into the mosh pit and enjoy a healthy dose of hardcore, because Madball return to BA after six years. Also appearing at BA for the first time are the established Cancer Bats, Show Me The Body, with their unique and innovative music.
