Release Athens is back!
The great festival of Athens is coming to once again beautify our summer nights, with lots of fun, dancing and – above all – great music from some of the biggest names on the world stage.

Richard Ashcroft, one of the greatest voices ever… born on the planet, is the new headliner of the 1st day of the festival! Singer and leader of the iconic The Verve, one of the top and most successful British bands of the last 25 years, is coming to our country for the 1st time for Release Athens 2018!
On May 31st, we will hear “Bitter Sweet Symphony“ live for the first time, one of the best and most timeless songs ever written, along with the classics “The Drugs Don’t Work“, “Lucky Man“, “Sonnet“, but also great moments of his solo career, such as the much-loved “A Song For The Lovers“ in our country, as well as songs from his excellent recent album, “These People“.
It is worth noting that Richard Ashcroft, immediately after his appearance at Release Athens 2018, will be on stage with the Rolling Stones, after being invited by them to open their concerts in Manchester and Edinburgh!
The amazing Rag’n’Bone Man, the man who created the biggest hit of the last two years with “Human“, will appear as a co-headliner, for the first time, in our country, on the first day of Release Athens 2018. One of the biggest new names in the British and global scene, sweeping sales and awards, becoming a point of reference not only for the present but also for the future of the modern pop scene.
Along with him, the wonderful Kid Moxie, the electro-pop persona that serves the artistic vision of Elena Harbila, who is already spreading her wings for an international career.
The line-up is completed by two excellent new groups of the domestic scene, Sworr. and Lip Forensics!
As always, all of this will take place at Plateia Nerou, a beautiful space by the sea, with very easy and quick access from every part – and by every means of transport – of Athens.

O Richard Ashcroft, μία από τις μεγαλύτερες φωνές που έχουν… γεννηθεί στον πλανήτη, είναι ο νέος headliner της 1ης ημέρας του φεστιβάλ! Τραγουδιστής και ηγέτης των εμβληματικών The Verve, μίας από τις κορυφαίες και πιο επιτυχημένες βρετανικές μπάντες των 25 τελευταίων ετών, έρχεται για 1η φορά στη χώρα μας για το Release Athens 2018!
Στις 31 Μαΐου, θα ακούσουμε για πρώτη φορά ζωντανά το “Bitter Sweet Symphony“, ένα από τα καλύτερα και διαχρονικότερα τραγούδια που έχουν γραφτεί ποτέ, μαζί με τα κλασικά “The Drugs Don’t Work“, “Lucky Man“, “Sonnet“, αλλά και μεγάλες στιγμές της solo καριέρας του, όπως το πολυαγαπημένο και στη χώρα μας “A Song For The Lovers“, καθώς και τραγούδια από το εξαιρετικό πρόσφατο album του, “These People“.
