Nightwish return to Romania after 3 years, on Friday, August 17th at Romexpo in the open air for a memorable concert!

The show is part of the “Decades“ world tour in which the band celebrates 20 years of activity and will enjoy an exceptional production! Nightwish is the band that no longer needs any introduction, after 20 years on the international metal scene, Nightwish has ensured its presence in the history of music. The most successful Nordic metal band, Nightwish will arrive in Bucharest to offer fans in Romania a journey through the entire discography of the Finnish group.

With 8 albums under their belt, composed mostly by founder and mastermind Tuomas Holopainen, Nightwish has helped a lot in the popularization and development of symphonic metal as well as the so-called female fronted metal bands. Gradually the band’s albums reached the charts all over the world, the most recent, Endless Forms Most Beautiful receiving the gold disc in countries such as the Czech Republic, Germany or Switzerland and the double platinum disc in Finland.

The most successful album is however Imaginaerum, which reached the 27th place in the Top Billboard 200. In addition, it received 5 gold discs and 3 Platinum. Dark Passion Play however received 4 gold discs and 5 Platinum, also entering the Top 100 Billboard 200.

However, the album that received a gold disc the fastest was Century Child which achieved this just 2 hours after its release. In total they have received over 60 platinum and gold records, with 5 number 1 albums and 13 number 1 singles. Dark Passion Play was the band’s sixth album and is the most expensive album produced by a Finnish artist or group, with Jukka Nevalainen stating that the total costs amounted to around half a million euros.

Nightwish revin dupa 3 ani in Romania, vineri, pe 17 august la ROMEXPO in aer liber pentru un concert memorabil!

Nightwish este formatia care nu mai are nevoie de nicio prezentare, dupa 20 de ani pe scena internationala a metalului, Nightwish si-a asigurat prezenta in istoria muzicii. Cea mai de succes trupa nordica de metal, Nightwish vor ajunge la Bucuresti pentru a oferi fanilor din Romania o calatorie prin intreaga discografie a grupului finlandez.

Cu 8 albume la activ, compuse in mare parte de fondatorul si mastermind-ul Tuomas Holopainen, Nightwish a ajutat mult la popularizarea si dezvoltarea symphonic metalului precum si la asa numitelor female fronted metal bands. Trepatat albumele formatiei au ajuns in topurile din intreaga lume, cel mai recent, Endless Forms Most Beautiful primind discul de aur in tari precum Cehia, Germania sau Elvetia si de doua ori discul de platina in Finlanda.

Cel mai de succes album este insa Imaginaerum, care a ajuns pe locul 27 in Top Billboard 200. In plus a primit 5 discuri de aur si 3 de Platina. Dark Passion Play insa a primit 4 discuri de aur si 5 de Platina, intrand si el in Top 100 Billboard 200 Cu toate acestea, albumul care a primit cel mai rapid un disc de aur a fost Century Child care a reusit acest lucru la doar 2 ore de la lansare.

In total au primit peste 60 de discuri de platina si aur, avand 5 albume clasate pe locul 1 si 13 single-uri pe aceeasi pozitie. Dark Passion Play a fost al saselea album al formatiei si este cel mai scump album produs de un artist sau un grup finlandez, Jukka Nevalainen declarand ca in total, costurile au ajuns la aproximativ jumatate de milion de euro.
