Duran Duran, the British rock music icons, are returning to Croatia for the premiere performance at the Pula Arena on Tuesday, July 30, 2024.

One of the greatest pop bands of all time, they are timing their return seven years after a sold-out concert at Zagreb’s Šalata stadium. The new performance in Croatia is scheduled at perhaps the most beautiful concert venue this part of Europe has. The two-thousand-year-old amphitheater in Pula will be the perfect stage on which Duran Duran will remind you of the timeless collection of hits and the opportunity to hear the new album “Danse Macabre”.

On the latest release, the band presents darker melodies, new songs, covers and special versions of their classics. Along with the single “Black Moonlight” and the title track “Danse Macabre”, there are also covers of Billie Eilish, The Rolling Stones, Siouxsie and the Banshees, collaborations with Måneskin’s Victoria De Angelis, Nile Rogers and previous band members. The Independent calls it a real treat, and The Telegraph writes that it is “very good fun”.

Duran Duran are without a doubt one of the greatest mainstream bands and a musical institution that has spawned some of the biggest pop hits of all time. A career spanning more than four decades, 16 studio albums and over 100 million records sold worldwide, and awards such as Lifetime Achievement, two Grammys, BRIT Awards for Outstanding Contribution to Music, a place on the Holywood Walk Of Fame, as well as inclusion in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, have marked Duran Duran as one of the most recognizable bands of our time.

Holding the top spots in the UK Singles Chart, the band spearheaded the UK’s conquest of the US market with 21 top 10 singles on the Billboard charts, with their ‘A View To A KIll’ being the only James Bond theme song to reach number one US charts. From the beginning with the self-titled album “Duran Duran”, the successor to “Rio”, “Seven And The Ragged Tiger” and “Notorious”, “Big Thing”, or “Thank You”, “Red Carpet Massacre”, “Paper Gods”, they gave a string of incredible hits.

The performance in the Pula Arena will be the crown of an extremely concert-active period for Duran Duran, including sold-out concerts in arenas around the UK, Ireland, Canada and North America, such as the one at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Telegraph described the live performances as decadent and bombastic, The Times gave the band royal status, and the Clash said it was “a first-class performance” while The Spectator wrote that Duran Duran were “a national treasure”.
The local audience, as well as those from the entire region, will have the opportunity to see them at the big summer open air spectacle on July 30 in the Pula Arena.

Tickets for the Pula performance go on sale on Friday, February 2 at 10:00 a.m. Early bird prices for ground floor seating are 87 euro, for tribune seating 119 euro and grass above standing 68 euro.
