Leprous announced for MidWinter Prog Festival 2026 | TivoliVredenburg!

MidWinter Prog Festival is back in 2026! The third edition of the ultimate winter festival for prog fans will once again feature carefully selected bands playing full sets in atmospheric Main Hall of TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. Norwegian band Leprous will headline, with the full lineup to be announced soon.

For 25 years Leprous has been exploring the intersection of progressive metal and progressive rock. The intense prog metal of their early days has evolved in recent years into a broader, more melodically oriented sound, although on their eighth album, Melodies Of Atonement (2024), they once again struck a slightly darker tone. The band has undergone quite a few lineup changes, but is still fronted by founding members Einar Solberg (keyboards/vocals) and Tor Oddmund Suhrke (guitar). If you were at Leprous show in a packed Ronda in 2023 or at the stunning concert at 013 (Tilburg) in early 2025, you’ll want to be present again!
