Rock Werchter – 30 June – 3 July 2022 – Werchter, BE

Rock Werchter is Belgium’s largest music festival: four days and four stages, with the biggest headliners, young talents, raging rockers, incredible singer-songwriters, new names, and the coolest beats around. Rock Werchter deliberately builds its programmes across all genres.

In 2022, Rock Werchter will take place between Thursday 30 June and Sunday 3 July. Rock Werchter is a unique experience.
The line-up of artists is always world-class, the conditions exceptional, and the festival feeling omnipresent. Rock Werchter is a multi-award-winning international hit and a regular fixture in every music lover’s diary

Imagine Dragons are coming to Rock Werchter next summer! The American rock band announced their Mercury Tour today, which takes them to Rock Werchter on Saturday 2 July . Hits like ‘Radioactive’, ‘Believer’ and ‘Thunder’ and their latest album ‘Mercury – Act 1’ proves that Imagine Dragons are among the biggest bands of their generation. With their swaggering songs full of heavy bass and intense drumming, big emotions and the powerful voice of Dan Reynolds, they will set the Festivalpark on fire. Are you ready?

Red Hot Chili Peppers are coming to Rock Werchter 2022. The Californian quartet have just announced a world tour, which will see the band take to the stage at the biggest stadiums in Europe next summer – and also at Rock Werchter. They will hit the Werchter Festivalpark on Sunday 3 July. This is a chance to see Red Hot Chili Peppers at their best, with John Frusciante back in the ranks and with, in addition to their big hits, some brand-new music to share. There is never a dull moment with this eccentric foursome.

Red Hot Chili Peppers are their own musical planet. The Californians introduced their original hybrid of rock and funk in the 1980s. Their danceable, distinctive and deeply energetic sound have provided a soundtrack that several generations have grown up to. The four-piece reached maturity with the album ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magik’ in 1991 – 30 years ago this year. ‘Give It Away’ and ‘Under The Bridge’ brought them their first taste of global fame, but it was ‘Californication’ (1999) – with ‘Scar Tissue’ and ‘Otherside’ – and ‘By The Way’ (2002) that really took the band to the top. The band have more than left their mark every time they’ve graced the Werchter stage, like when bassist Flea played in the nude in 1996. The group will be at its strongest in 2022, with star guitarist John Frusciante back on board.

Twenty One Pilots are among the greatest success stories of the twenty-first century. The numbers don’t lie. Their breakthrough ‘Blurryface’ (2015) was the first album of the digital era on which every track went at least gold in the United States. The single ‘Stressed Out’ made the duo the first rock act to achieve more than a billion streams on Spotify. Josh Dun and Tyler Joseph are born entertainers. In 2014, they played early in the day at our KluB C; next year they return to the Festivalpark as superstars, bringing with them their new full length ‘Scaled and Icy’.

Faith No More have always gone against the flow. The Americans do so with humour, a healthy sense of perspective and a strong faith in their own talent. Faith No More is not just an exceptional band; they are also of great historical importance. In the 1980s, they were the first to blend metal with funk and hip-hop, and were the founders of what became known as ‘crossover’. Hits like ‘We Care A Lot’ and ‘Epic’ paved the way for Nirvana and inspired Korn and Limp Bizkit. The motto of the San Francisco quintet is freedom, the outcome is modern metal. Faith No More defies categorisation!

Hot news on a hot day! Metallica are playing Rock Werchter 2022. They are the headline act on Friday 1 July. Ever since that first time in 1993, up to their most recent appearance at the festival in 2014, they have always been impressive, always bursting with energy, always playing with total dedication. Metallica is the best metal band in the world – this is beyond dispute. Rock Werchter 2022 has now locked its second headliner, with Pearl Jam already confirmed for the opening day of the four-day festival.

Pearl Jam’s summer 2021 European tour has officially been rescheduled for June and July of 2022. And so the first name for Rock Werchter 2022 is in.  On Thursday, June 30, 2022, Pearl Jam will headline the opening day of the festival.

Earlier it was announced that the Belgian Rock Werchter Festival is postponed to the summer of 2022. Given the current restrictions, the 2021 festival could not be prepared in the normal way. We want every fan and artist to enjoy the festival to the fullest, and with the current situation we could not achieve this.  Rock Werchter will be back in 2022, in full swing and even much better than that. Some of the planned Rock Werchter 2021 acts will (re)appear. New names will be added to the line-up too. Rock Werchter will take place from Thursday June 30 to Sunday July 3, 2022 at the Festivalpark in Werchter. More names will be revealed later.

Ticket holders have been contacted personally by our ticket partner, Ticketmaster. They can choose to retain their ticket, carry it over to 2022, or ask to be given a credit to the value of their booking. This credit can be spent on any of the festivals that will take place at the Festivalpark in Werchter in 2021 and 2022. Ticket sales for Rock Werchter 2022 will resume later this year.

One-day tickets for Friday 1 July have sold out. Combi tickets and one-day tickets for the other days are still available at ticketmaster.be.
