Sonata Arctica is one of the most beloved Nordic bands, currently having a catalog of 10 released discographic materials. The foundations of the band were laid in 1995, the band being then known as Tricky Beans and later Tricky Means.In 1999 the band became Sonata Arctica and in the same year they released their debut album ‘Ecliptica’. In the 20 years of activity, the band toured with bands such as Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Dio, 

Stratovarius, Ensiferum, DragonForce or Alice Cooper. In the fall of 2019, Sonata Arctic released the latest studio material entitled ‘Talviyo’ which translates as ‘Winter Night’. The disc entered the charts of countries such as Finland, Germany, France and more!Stratovarius, just like Sonata Arctica, come from Finland, the foundations of the band having been laid since 1984, initially under the name Black Water, but this title was only used for one year, in 1985, the band adopting the name Stratovarius, a term that in linguistics bear the name of telescoping word, representing a word formed from the combination of two other words, in the present case Stratocaster and Stradivarius.In the almost 40 years of activity, they released 16 studio albums, materials that crystallized the power metal genre, bringing at the same time a real contribution to the development of symphonic or neoclassical metal.Stratovarius is and will remain a standard name in power metal, influencing over time dozens of bands that have become important names in the power or symphonic scene.

Sonata Arctica este una dintre cele mai iubite formatii nordice, in momentul de fata avand un catalog de 10 materiale discografice lansate. Bazele trupei au fost puse in 1995, formatia fiind cunoscuta atunci sub numele de Tricky Beans iar ulterior Tricky Means.

In 1999 trupa a devenit Sonata Arctica iar in acelasi an au lansat albumul de debut ‘Ecliptica’. In cei 20 de ani de activitate formatia a avut turnee alaturi de formatii precum Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Dio, Stratovarius, Ensiferum, DragonForce sau Alice Cooper.

In toamna lui 2019, Sonata Arctic a lansat cel mai recent material de studio intitulat ‘Talviyo’ ce se traduce prin ‘Noapte de Iarna’. Discul a intrat in topurile unor tari precum Finlanda, Germania, Franta si nu numai!

Stratovarius, la fel ca Sonata Arctica, vin din Finlanda, bazele formatiei fiind puse inca din 1984, initial sub numele de Black Water, insa aceasta titulatura a fost folosita doar un an, in 1985, formatia adoptand numele Stratovarius, un termen ce in lingvistica poarte numele de cuvant telescopat, reprezentand un cuvant format din combinarea a altor doua cuvine, in cazul de fata Stratocaster si Stradivarius.

In cei aproape 40 de ani de activitate au lansat 16 albume de studio, materiale care au cristalizat genul power metal aducand in acelasi timp si un adevarat aport in dezvoltarea symphonic sau neoclassical metalului.

Stratovarius este si va ramane un nume etalon al power metalului, influentand de-a lungul timpului zeci de formatii care au devenit la randul lor nume importante ale scenei de power sau symphonic.
