100% Metal Proudly Presents: On the 30th anniversary of the legendary album “Mandylion“, The Gathering, featuring Anneke Van Giersbergen, and The Pineapple Thief will meet on the same stage.

On the evening of June 25th, Zorlu PSM will host two prominent figures in alternative music: The Gathering and The Pineapple Thief. These bands, from two different lands and touching on similar emotions, will present listeners with a timeless evening of music.

After a long hiatus, The Gathering returns with its original vocalist, Anneke Van Giersbergen. The band is paying homage to its heritage with this tour dedicated to the 30th anniversary of its cult 1995 album, Mandylion. Songs like “Strange Machines,“ “Leaves,“ and “Sand and Mercury” will be revived with live renditions after many years. The Gathering’s music still evokes the same thing: that melancholy, grace, and power can coexist.

The Pineapple Thief, another name of the day, has brought a new form of expression to the modern progressive rock scene over the last two decades. Bruce Soord’s distinctive voice and the band’s cinematic sound make them more unique with each album. Albums like Your Wilderness, Dissolution, and It Leads to This demonstrate The Pineapple Thief’s emotional and technical maturity in expressing themselves.

On June 25, 2026, the nostalgia of The Gathering and the present of The Pineapple Thief will meet on the same night. This concert will evoke one era while redefining another. On one side, an echo of the past, on the other, the sound of the future.
