Rockstadt Fest – 26-30 July 2027 – Ghimbav (RO)

In 2013, a handful of people passionate about rock and metal music thought of starting an outdoor festival at the foot of the city of Râșnov. They called it Rockstadt Extreme Fest.

A festival built for a community that defies the conventional. Years later, this festival has taken on a life of its own, fueled by people and their love of music.

Rockstadt Extreme Fest was no longer an event dedicated to a small community, but has become an essential part of the rock/metal scene in Romania and Eastern Europe. It has become a festival of all rock and metal communities, where everyone is welcome and represented.

With the move to Ghimbav and the magnitude of this year’s edition, it became clear that Rockstadt Extreme Fest evolved towards a new chapter in its story.

And from 2027, Rockstadt Extreme Fest will transform into Rockstadt Fest.

What does that mean? No, it will not become a mammoth event with tens of thousands of people. It won’t be crowded and it won’t be transformed into a corporate product. No, the extreme metal music part will not disappear from the festival either. Rockstadt will preserve the same values, the same integrity and the same goal. A rock, metal music festival, a festival built for all communities. A festival that will continue its mission.

Why just Rockstadt Fest? We think this name is most suitable for our mission hereafter. For a few days, Romania will have its rock city where people and love for this music will always remain the strength of this festival.
